21 Day Self-Care Challenge ~ Day 18
You gotta have FAITH
Where is your FAITH?? That’s the question Grandma asked me the day I refused to get in the helicopter. I was in my 30’s then, and I was a scaredy cat. We were in Sedona, Arizona and in order for the helicopter to go up there had to be at least 4 people, and I was number 4. I refused to go because I was afraid of crashing and dying. In my mind, I was envisioning us crashing over the canyon that the sightseeing tour took us through. Grandma asked me again “Where is your FAITH?” She got my attention. Why was I scared? I was scared of everything back then. I had to take a long look at myself. That day I learned about trusting the process of life. I had to trust that everything that happens in my life is for my greater good. I could run, but I couldn’t hide so if something was going to happen to me there is only so much I could do.
That day, I took the helicopter ride and it was one of the most fun and exciting moments I’ve ever had!
When has your faith been tested? Have you stepped out on faith and realized it was a blessing in disguise? Did you lose your job, file for bankruptcy, go through a serious illness or even a divorce? When you were going through it, didn’t it feel like your world was going to end? Were you wondering what your life would be like after these events? I know I was wondering what my life would be like after going through all of those situations. Yup, I’ve been through them all and I’m here to tell you that even though it wasn’t easy it was the best thing that could of happened to me.
Are you willing to consider that the thing you think will end your world as you know it could be propelling you forward to a blessing that you could never have imagined?
FAITH is about trusting what you can’t see and what you can’t even imagine. It’s about knowing in your heart that everything will turn out for your benefit and that there is a lesson to be learned and experienced.
Today’s Challenge – Where can you step out in faith in your life? Is there a leap you have been considering taking in your life but you have been afraid? I challenge you to JUMP! Do the thing you are afraid to do even if it doesn’t turn out the way you imagined. The actual outcome may be even better.
